BEXHILL residents are furious after the Cemetery Lodge was covered in graffiti by vandals.
The building in Turkey Road and St Mary’s Lane was earmarked for development into six affordable flats.
The plans were submitted by Community Land Trust and Rother District Council approved the proposal last year, much to many people’s vehement objections.
The photos, taken by Sally Bryan, were published on Facebook which attracted plenty of fury from residents.

Graffiti is proving to be an increasing problem in Bexhill and the surrounding areas with offensive slogans proliferating on the sides of buildings and walls.
There is a significant difference between officially sanctioned artistic murals and tagging with the latter showing no artistic merit whatsoever.
Instead, it merely detracts from the appeal of the town when so much work has been done to make it an attractive destination.
