POLICE have revealed a man was arrested for the procession of a weapon in a public place following the discovery of a cannabis farm in Hailsham at the weekend.
Just before 9am, on Sunday March 9, two officers on foot patrol in Hailsham discovered a cannabis factory at an address in Arlington Road East.
Officers entered the address, and a large quantity of cannabis plants were located growing inside.
Three men were quickly apprehended at the scene. A 25-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and possession of a weapon in a private place. A second man, aged 26, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis. A third man, aged 67, from Hailsham, was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis, possession of cannabis and possession of a weapon in a private place.
All three men have since been released on conditional bail, and police enquiries are ongoing.
