TWO Liberal Democrat members have won the Eastbourne By-elections for the Upperton and Langney wards, with Reform making ground in both areas.
Reform has good reason to celebrate, although not winning the wards, in Upperton the party received 17% (482) of the votes, whilst 32% (645) in Langney, coming in second place behind the Liberal Democrats.
Kara Bishop, Former MacMillan Nurse, Kara Bishop, who was Chief Executive of St Wilfrid’s Hospice for ten years, won the Langney vote with 50% (1013) of the votes for the Liberal Democrats.
Whilst Transport campaigner, Tom Nevill, won the Upperton seat for the Liberal Democrats with almost 49% (1371) of the votes.
