FIRE investigators have confirmed a blaze above a garage in Eastbourne over the weekend is being treated as arson.
Pumps from Eastbourne and Bexhill attended the incident on the first-floor non-residential area above the tyre retailer on Ashford Road on Sunday morning.
The report from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was that the fire was started deliberately.
It came just a day after another blaze was put out by firefighters at the disused multi-story car park on Junction Road, just yards from Sunday’s building fire.
All persons were accounted for, and there were no casualties reported.
Police would like to speak to anyone who has information surrounding this incident on Ashford Road.
