HELLINGLY Parish Council has put out an appeal to find the person responsible for causing hundreds of pounds of damage to the hub.
A catapult was used to smash a large window on the building located on The Drive. The damage will cost £700 to fix – it’s the second time the vandalism has happened.
The Town Clerk at the council, Jenny Hoodless posted: “This means we have £700 less to put towards kids activities, Foodbank and Free clubs for adults & children.
“I appreciate those that did this probably won’t come forward but someone must know something, if you do you can either send me an email clerk@hellingly-pc.org.uk or report it to the police anonymously.”
She concluded: “Catapults are illegal and can seriously injure people. Please help us reduce the anti-social behaviour as there has been so much over the summer holidays, which is very sad.”
