Businesses urged to dress up for Coronation competition

Date:

Shops and businesses in Lewes are being encouraged to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty, King Charles III, with a Coronation Window Display Competition.

Cash prizes will be offered for the best window display entries, as chosen by the Mayor of Lewes, with business owners encouraged to design eye-catching displays to celebrate the historic occasion.

The competition will run from 28 April to 12 May, with all shops and businesses with premises in Lewes able to enter.

Shops and businesses wanting to take part must register their entries with the town council online by 21 April 2023 to be included in the judging: lewes-tc.gov.uk/coronation-windows

The competition is one of a series of Town Council initiatives to commemorate the coronation, including Tea Party events for seniors and primary school children, funding for a wild flower corridor within the town in partnership with Wildflower Lewes and an exhibition of children’s paintings at the Town Hall.
