Busy village main road to close for three weeks

Date:

Motorists could face weeks of delays as East Sussex Highways carry out extensive works in Berwick this month.

Drainage repairs and carriageway resurfacing will mean Station Road will be closed to through traffic from 18th to 29th March.

Diversions will be in place on the A22 and A27 but residents will still be able to get access by liaising with workers at the closure. Bus services will be affected so passengers are being advised to check timetables during this period.

East Sussex Highways states pedestrian access will be maintained and is advising residents not to park on the road, otherwise they could risk being towed as restrictions will be in place.
