Car destroyed in suspected deliberate fire in Eastbourne

EMERGENCY services were called to a suspected deliberate vehicle fire in Eastbourne late on Sunday night.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called at 11.12pm on June 7 to reports of a vehicle on fire in Winchelsea Road.

One fire engine from Eastbourne attended the incident, with firefighters using breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to bring the blaze under control.

No injuries were reported.

The fire service believes the blaze was started deliberately.
