Clothing retailer announces final closing date

Date:

A LEADING Bexhill town centre fashion store will be shutting down later this month, it has now been confirmed.

M&Co, in Devonshire Road, is to close its doors for the final time on April 20.

The branch has had large posters on its windows for the past few months promoting a huge sale but there are now just a matter of days left before it ceases trading, leaving yet another large retail unit empty.

The writing was on the wall when the company previously announced it had entered administration and now it has been confirmed 170 of its stores across the country will be closed permanently.

A notice on the company’s website reads: “M&Co online is no longer trading. AK Retail has acquired the M&Co brand with plans to relaunch the web platform in the coming months.

“Some of our high street shops will remain open for a limited time, with everything at least 50 per cents off.

“Thank you to all of our customers from god whole team at M&Co.”

The company’s branch in Lewes closed earlier this month.
