Date:

Emergency sewage works on a busy road in Hailsham has resulted in a road closure for the next seven days.

Southern Water has told Hailsham News a difficult repair of a sewer line will mean Upper Horsebridge Road (A271) will remain closed for at least the next week.

It was initially hoped the repair would be completed today (Friday), but due to the nature of the work, the busy route will be closed to through traffic until Friday 3rd May.
