COVID testing site to open in Hailsham

Date:

Residents who are suffering COVID symptoms will be able to get tested this week at a dedicated site in Hailsham.

The mobile testing unit will be set up in the Freedom Leisure car park, in Vicarage Lane from Thursday 17th December for two days. Visitors will only be able to be tested with an appointment.

An East Sussex County Council spokesperson told Hailsham News: “A mobile testing unit will be at Vicarage Lane car park, Hailsham on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 December. Appointments slots will be available to book from 6pm on Wednesday 16 December. Visitors to the facility must have pre-booked an appointment.

“Infection rates are rising in East Sussex and we would encourage anyone with symptoms, even mild ones, to self-isolate and book a test.”

The testing unit is expected to return to the town later in the month. For more information, and book a COVID test, click here.
