F
rom today (9th April), a chicane will be in operation through the one-way system to allow workers to carry out connection works. Crews are continuing to work on transferring services onto the new water main and reinstatement of the road surface has now begun at the South Road end of Diplocks Way.
Temporary traffic lights will be used to carry out the final phase of the works later this month.
The £250,000 scheme is being carried out to replace an old and unreliable water main which has burst 15 times in the past two years.
The majority of the work to lay the new pipeline is being carried out at night with some minor works taking place during the day.
