Eastbourne Carnival lit up the seafront this afternoon (Saturday), as over 60 groups paraded the route with the theme ‘Celebrations of the World’.
Highlights included the return of Bolivian and Latin Carnival groups and a special visit from Dortmund Carnival’s Prince, Princess and band.
The day began with a town centre gathering featuring performances by Sunshine International Arts, Stix Drummers, and Cherry Dance.
The main parade set off from Fisherman’s Green at 2pm, ending at The View Hotel, followed by a lively street party with DJs at Bankers Corner.
Organiser Mina O’Brien praised the support from sponsors, volunteers, and partners.
Funds raised on the day will support local charities and future carnivals.
