THERE was traffic chaos in Hailsham yesterday (Tuesday) after a vehicle caught fire close to the town centre.
Crews from Eastbourne were called to the blaze just after 9am in Ersham Road, where they found a Ford Transit tipper well alight.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and special firefighting foam to extinguish the fire.
There were no reports of injuries and the fire is being treated as accidental.
