A huge fire has broken out in Hastings – crews from across Sussex have been battling the blaze.
10 pumps and crews with an aerial ladder have been tackling the fire in George Street.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “At 19:16 we were called to a fire on George Street, Hastings. 10 Pumps, one Ariel Ladder Platform, one Command Unit and five Officers are currently on scene (21:58). Five Main Jets, One 1:7 Foam and an Ariel Ladder Platform are being used to extinguish the fire by six Breathing Apparatus Wearers.”
Residents are being urged to avoid the area whilst the blaze is dealt with.
