Fire crews deal with two Eastbourne fires within metres of each other

FIRE pumps from Eastbourne and Bexhill attended a blaze at a tyre retailer this morning (Sunday) – the second in the immediate area.

The first fire broke out at the disused multi-story car park on Junction Road at 5:30pm on Friday.

Crews used two breathing apparatus and one main jet to extinguish the fire.

This morning, Sunday 11th May, another blaze was reported at a first-floor non-residential property in Ashford Road.

It happened above the Kwik Fit workshops, the next road along from the disused multi-story car park.

Police and Ambulance were also in attendance.

All persons were accounted for and there were no casualties reported.
