One person has been injured in a residential fire in Hastings.
Six fire engines from Hastings, Bexhill and Battle were called to Milward Road at 03.06am (Thursday, April 27).
They are currently at the scene with an aerial ladder platform, two hose reels, two main sets and breathing apparatus.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has advised people to avoid the area.
The fire service provided another update just after 5am. They wrote on their Facebook page:
“Two further fire engines are in attendance on Milward Road, Hastings.
“Crews are now damping down and will be at the scene for some considerable time.
“All persons accounted for with one casualty reported, now in care of the ambulance.
“Please continue to avoid the area.”
