Fire crews were called to Grove Hill in Hellingly following reports of a barn fire in the area this morning.
Four fire engines from Eastbourne, Heathfield, Battle and Lewes attended the blaze which is now under control. Residents in the area were told to close all doors and windows.
It is unknown if anyone was hurt in the fire. The fire has now been extinguished, and crews are currently dampening down and carrying out salvage.
