Hailsham bomb hoax suspect released

The man arrested in connection with Monday’s bomb hoax on the Diplocks estate has been released.

A 24 year-old local man was arrested in connection with ‘communicating false information’ and has been released under investigation, according to Sussex Police.

The name of the suspect has not been released.

Emergency Services were called to The Diplocks after a suspect package was discovered on a wall. A controlled explosion was then carried out by the bomb squad to make the device safe.

More than a hundred homes were evacuated during the incident.
