A large water leak in Hailsham has resulted in the closure of the town’s Community College this morning (Wednesday).
A number of homes are reported to be without water due to the water main burst on Battle Road, close to Norman Place.
Hailsham Community College has told students on its Facebook page: “Due to a burst water main the College (secondary site on Battle Road) has had to close today. We will keep you updated with regard to the situation.”
Contractors are currently on scene to repair the 9-inch main pipe which has caused flooding on Battle Road.
