ORGANISERS are absolutely delighted to confirm that Hastings Pride will continue to run this year after a taxi firm has extended a helping hand at the eleventh hour.
Yesterday (July 29) organisers thought they would not be able to run the popular event this year due to a lack of funding.
However, a Hastings firm 247 Taxis and Coaches saved the day. The company’s drivers and staff said they strongly believe that Hastings Pride is an immensely important event for the town and its residents.
A spokesman for 247 Taxis and Coaches told Hastings Pride: “Chris Vale and Tony Rose of 247 Taxis and Coaches and all our drivers and staff firmly believe that Hastings Pride is one of the most important events in our town, fostering inclusivity and celebrating diversity in our community.
“Our sponsorship aims to support the continuation of this event and its positive impact on our local community.”
A representative of Hastings Pride said: “Our thanks goes out to everyone at 247 Taxis and Coaches for coming to our rescue at the eleventh hour.
“On that note we would like to announce that our theme for this year is around ‘Love in the Community’ because that’s more important today than ever!
