RUNNERS braved bitterly cold conditions on the seafront on Sunday (December 3) to take part in Bexhill Lions Club’s Santa Dash/Santa Paws event.
The annual charity fundraiser saw hundreds of participants dressed in Santa costumes taking on the challenge despite the terrible weather conditions as freezing winds and rain battered the coast.
The Santas started their race from the De La Warr, running or walking 2km or 5km.
However, that failed to deter those taking part who were determined to make the most of the occasion.

But it wasn’t just the human participants who took part in the challenge but also dogs who seemed perfectly happy to join in the fun and frolics with their owners.
The event was one of several that Bexhill Lions arrange every year to raise thousands of pounds for the local charities which it supports.

The money raised in the Santa Dash/Santa Paws event will go towards participants’ chosen charities.
Hopefully, next year the weather will be a little kinder.
For everyone’s efforts and dedication, let’s give everyone a round of a Santa-plause!
