SUSSEX Police has launched an investigation after discovering a large haul of cannabis when a fire broke out in a Bexhill property.
Emergency services responded to a fire at a premises in London Road, at approximately 8.40am on Tuesday, April 30.
Firefighters put out the fire and officers assisted with road closures.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “No one was inside the premises at the time of the fire and no one was reported injured.
“Inside the premises, a large quantity of cannabis plants were discovered and police are investigating.
“Anyone with information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online and quote serial 312 of 30/04.”
