A 50-year-old man suffered serious injuries after an unprovoked assault in Eastbourne.
The attack happened yesterday evening (March 7) at about 6.15pm in Seaside Road. The victim was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
A 39-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody at this time.
There is no threat to the wider public.
