Man remanded in custody after woman assaulted in St Leonards

A MAN has been remanded in custody, charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH).

Police were called to an address in St Leonards at 4.38am on Friday, December 22 following a report of an assault.

A 27-year-old woman was taken to hospital to be treated for an injury consistent with being stabbed.

She has since been discharged and is being supported by officers.

Following enquiries, Kerri Fordham, 37, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with GBH with intent, criminal damage and breaching a non-molestation order.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 26.
