Neighbour sets up fundraising campaign following house fire

Date:

Firefighters from Hailsham and Eastbourne attended a suspected tumble drier fire this afternoon which destroyed important personal possessions.

The fire at the house in Paul Close was quickly extinguished, but apparently burnt school uniforms and toys.

A GoFundMe page has been set up this evening by a neighbour who wants to raise money to replace the items.

The page says: “Emily lives here with her young son, and unfortunately her son’s new school uniform and toys all got burnt in the fire. She is currently unable to live at her home now due to the damage and how unsafe it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated, would just like to be able to help her as much as possible in this awful time.”
