Numerous residents in Hailsham report water outage

Date:

SOUTH-EAST Water has advised a water mains burst is affecting a number of households in Hailsham this evening (Monday).

Residents have been posting online that their homes have no water from Battle Road to Hawkswood and homes on St. Mary’s Avenue.

A spokesperson from South-East Water said: “We’re really sorry to those of you who are experiencing low water pressure or no water at the moment. This has been caused by a burst main due to an unexpected third-party damage which we are trying to fix as quickly as we can. As soon as the repairs have been completed, your water will return to normal.

We can’t say just yet how long this will take but please rest assured we’re doing everything we can to get you back up and running as soon as possible.”

The company estimates the problem will be fixed by 9pm.
