Date:

HUNDREDS of residents and officials paid their respects this morning at the town’s war memorial to remember those who died for their country.

Reverend Peter Clark led the ceremony which was attended by council leaders, local groups, veterans and representatives from the armed forces.

A parade was led from the Vicarage Field car park to the memorial and two minutes silence was held after the last post was played.
