Pictures: American muscle rescues bus from verge

Date:

An impressive American truck was called to Hailsham earlier today after a bus became stuck on a verge.

The 12-tonne Stagecoach double-decker bus was forced to do a U-Turn on the B2104 near to Hellingly School, after an incident closed the main A271 near to the Kings Head Pub today (Friday).

A local tractor tried to move the bus shortly after getting stuck without success, so the services of a ‘International Lonestar Wrecker’ with a 600hp engine was called in from recovery experts Mick Gould Commercials.

The road was closed by Police whilst recovery took place which took a few hours causing local travel disruption.
