EAST Sussex Fire and Rescue Service carried out an exercise at Rother District Council Town Hall in Bexhill.
Emergency vehicles including fire engines and the Command Support Unit in the Town Hall Square were in London Road between 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday (July 16).
Crews used breathing apparatus while going into the building as they would if it was a real fire.
Exercises like this allow firefighters to react in real-time to a pretend emergency, learning from their experiences and honing their life saving skills.
The fire service thanked the Council for supporting this important work.
