Parts of the area were at standstill this afternoon after a serious collision at Polegate.
Police were called to a crash between two vehicles at the roundabout between the Cophall Roundabout and Golden Jubilee Way.
The Air Ambulance landed nearby and took one person to hospital with serious injuries.
Traffic backed-up into Eastbourne, Polegate and on the A22 Hailsham Bypass for several hours.
The road is still closed (15:00) whilst Police investigate the crash.
