A CAR described as ‘the one TVR got absolutely right’ has arrived on the market in Eastbourne and it’s already turning heads long before it finds a new owner.
The TVR Sagaris, offered for sale through local specialists HPC Classics, is one of the most extreme and desirable British sports cars ever built, and with just 8,000 miles on the clock, this example is about as close to new as it gets.
Built in 2005, the Sagaris represents the final evolution of TVR’s no-compromise approach to performance motoring, a car that blends outrageous styling with raw, unfiltered driving dynamics.
According to HPC Classics’ Miles Hardy, it’s a machine that stands shoulder to shoulder with some of the world’s finest supercars, while offering something far rarer.
He explained: “These cars are up there with the very best machinery from the top manufacturers. But they’re far rarer than any Ferrari you’re likely to buy for similar money, more alive, more engaging and a million times cooler.”
Even by TVR standards, the Sagaris is a standout.
Its aggressive, almost futuristic bodywork looks unlike anything else on the road. Dramatic vents, sculpted curves and those unmistakable slash-cut side-exit exhausts, it’s a car that doesn’t just attract attention — it demands it.
Miles said: “People stop, take photos, and comment wherever you go. There’s nothing else quite like it.”

Like all TVRs, the interior is completely driver-focused, bespoke, hand-built and full of character. From the billet aluminium pedal box to the custom steering wheel and distinctive instrument binnacle, everything is designed to immerse the driver in the experience.
Even the controls reflect TVR’s quirky innovation, with hidden buttons positioned behind the steering wheel, a design that was ahead of its time.
Despite its hardcore credentials, the Sagaris is surprisingly usable. There’s ample interior space, clever storage solutions including door pockets that double as bottle holders and a boot large enough for touring.
At its heart lies TVR’s legendary Speed Six engine with a 4.0-litre straight-six producing around 406bhp. It’s capable of 0–60mph in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 185mph.

Fire the engine into life and it responds with an immediate, unmistakable bark. On the road, the Sagaris feels alive, darting, flowing and responding instantly to every input. With no traction control or driver aids, it delivers a pure, analogue driving experience that is becoming increasingly rare.
Miles claims: “The chassis balance is almost indescribable. It just goes exactly where you point it.”
TVR built just 211 Sagaris models, and of those, only around 103 are currently taxed and on UK roads, making it one of the rarest modern British performance cars available.
This particular example is even more special.
Ordered by its original owner before production had even begun, it is believed to be among the first 30 cars built, one of the early deposits that helped bring the Sagaris into existence. As a result, it features some unique early characteristics, including the distinctive raised fuel filler cap.
With just one previous owner, a fully stamped service history, and meticulous care throughout its life, the car represents a genuine collector-quality example.
Mechanically, the Sagaris is described as being ‘on the button, having been dry stored, carefully maintained and serviced by some of the most respected names in the TVR world.
Most recently, it underwent a full 12,000-mile service at Powers Performance in April 2026, including tappet and valve clearance adjustments, ensuring it drives as tightly and precisely as it did when new.
The car has also been ceramic coated and protected with paint protection film at the front, leaving the bodywork in near immaculate condition.
Supplied with a full history file, original books, key fobs, code cards and even a private registration plate included in the sale, it offers everything a serious collector or enthusiast could want.
Beyond the driving experience, cars like the Sagaris are increasingly being seen as strong investments.
With international demand growing, particularly from North America, where import laws allow vehicles over 25 years old, specialists like HPC Classics are already exporting cars to Canada and the United States.
With that market set to fully open up for the Sagaris in the coming years, values are expected to strengthen further.
Miles concluded: “Opportunities to buy a car like this are few and far between. It’s the sort of car that won’t hang around for long.”
In an era dominated by electronic aids, automation and refinement, the TVR Sagaris stands apart as something refreshingly different, a machine built purely for the joy of driving.
