THE popular Pier2Peer charity walk takes place on Saturday (July 27) so make sure you register now.
The event, organised by award-winning Eastbourne charity Wayfinder Woman, welcomes individuals, couples, families and company teams and social groups to join the cause.
The money raised will go towards Wayfinder Woman which supports women to find better lives by building confidence and skills.
The charity also runs online workshops to support women who are experiencing barriers such as employment.
The event is open to everyone regardless of their fitness level. You can do a half-marathon along the East Sussex coastline, or you take part in the fully accessible 5-kilometre route from Eastbourne Pier to Sovereign Harbour where you can finish or return back to Eastbourne Pier (10 kilometres) so you’re still doing Pier2Peer.
Everyone who takes part gets a specially designed, environmentally-friendly medal.
Registration costs £15 and this year you can purchase your own Pier2Peer 2024 t-shirt for an additional £10.
On the day, registration open at 8.45am. Walkers start at 9.15am, runners start at 9.30am and cyclists at 9.45am.
Participants will receive full instructions about the route, where the cafes are and those important toilet stops, as well as ideas about how to raise sponsorship.
