A local photographer has captured images showing the poor condition of local roads following weeks of rain and frosts.
Lewis Isted visited hot spots around Hailsham and captured these images of the extent of the damage on our roads. Some of the potholes are measuring many inches deep and large enough to cause extensive damage to vehicles.
Some of the locations pictures are Archery Walk, Station Road, Old Swan Lane and the junction of Station Road and the A295.
Following many weeks of flooding, the photographs also show the shocking condition Old Swan Lane has been left in after authorities cut down trees, along with signs left dumped in ditches.
In November last year, residents reported raw sewage floating in floods on the road and although Southern Water denied it was happening, Wealden District Council put measures in place to stop new homes being moved into, until a new sewerage system was put in place.
Residents are being urged to report potholes here. East Sussex Highways have been contacted to comment on the local roads.
