HAILSHAM has been identified as one of the prime targets as Lidl aims for rapid expansion across Sussex.
This announcement comes after a record 1.4 million new shoppers switching over to the German-owned giant in 2022.
Kantar has also listed the discount retailer as the fastest growing supermarket, with sales up nearly 26 per cent and opening more than 50 stores last year.
There are more than 950 stores across the country and Lidl opened another 15 new stores in the past three months.
The company has ambitious plans to have more than 1,100 stores in the UK.
