Sussex Bonfire Societies announce £48,000 fundraising total at Carol Concert

Date:

A SPECIAL Christmas Carol concert was held today (10 December), which brought together the county’s bonfire societies to celebrate the end of the season.

The concert took place at the Holly Cross Church in Uckfield, where every year, all the societies from across East and West Sussex gather to find out how much has been raised from each town’s bonfire celebrations combined.

It was announced that almost £48,000 was raised in 2023, which has all been given to local charities.

The event began with a procession up Uckfield High Street to the church where the carol concert took place.

All images from the event can be viewed and downloaded by clicking this link for a small fee which will all be donated to charity.
