A group of Travellers have set up camp in the car park of the De La Warr Pavilion.
On Tuesday, May 21, six caravans and assorted vehicles were in place across the car park and police were seen negotiating with the Travellers.
At present, it remains to be seen whether eviction notices will be served and authorities have so far not commented on the situation.
A Sussex Police spokesman said on May 22: “Sussex Police received a report of an unauthorised encampment at De La Warr Road, Bexhill, on May 21.
“Officers have worked in partnership with the local authority and engaged with the group, who have now departed from the location.”
