TWO men have been convicted following a burglary at a caravan park in Bognor.
Police were called to a report of a break-in at The Arcade in Riverside Caravan Park, Shripney Road at about 2.30am on April 30.
Officers arrived on scene and located them at Tesco, Shripney Road. Police searched the pair and found coins, arcade tokens, tools and knives.
A 2p machine had been smashed open and other fruit machines were damaged.
Both suspects were arrested and were later identified as Tristram Francis and Mark Mullinder.
They were both charged with burglary with intent to steal, possession of a knife and going equipped to steal.
Francis, 41, of no fixed address pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary and possession of a knife when he appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on May 1. He has been remanded in custody.
Mullinder, 45, of Marrion Avenue, Bognor, admitted to burglary and possession of a knife when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on May 1. He has been released on conditional bail.
Franics and Mullinder are both set to appear at Lewes Crown Court and Brighton Magistrates’ Court respectively on May 29 for sentencing.
