Fire crews have rescued two people from a burning house in Hailsham this evening.
Emergency services were called to the property close to Hawksley Crescent just after 6pm this evening.
Three fire appliances from Herstmonceux and Eastbourne attended and rescued two residents, who are now being cared for by SECAMB.
Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The blaze was extinguished at 9pm and services handed over an investigation to Sussex Police. A fire investigation is due to take place tomorrow.
