A popular club that supports people living disability is heartbroken over vandals who damaged their new sports equipment.
Defiant Sports in Eastbourne promotes inclusivity in sports for young people living with disability, supporting them in opportunities to play the sports they enjoy.
Formerly based in Sovereign Harbour Retail Park, the club relocated to Archery Recreation Ground, Archery House, Willoughby Crescent, at the end of May.
The new premises includes a sports court, an old changing room building and some free space on either side.
The club posted on its Facebook page yesterday (August 1), saying the damages by vandals causes another person not to be able to access the sport.

Vandals targeted equipment including a trampoline, furniture and a wheelchair with a footrest was smashed off.
Defiant Sports wrote: “Sadly, every day, we are coming in to find equipment damaged or broken in our new site at the Archery Recreation Ground.

“There is no benefit to those carrying out these attacks as nothing is taken, just pure vandalism.
“Can you please have a word with any of your young people and ask them to stop.
“We are working hard to try and bring a valuable community resource to the area but everyday we are losing time having to clear up, the broken pieces of our equipment.

“Every time we have to replace equipment we are wasting money that could go towards developing the site.
“Every time we lose our adapted equipment that is another person who potentially can’t access sport. Please stop.”
