Witnesses are being sought after plants and flowers at the town’s War Memorial were destroyed in a pointless display of vandalism.
Plants and flowers were pulled from the beds around the memorial last night (July 2) and thrown around the town centre.
The charity, Environment Hailsham is appealing for anyone with some information to come forward. The flowers have now been replanted, thanks to local volunteers.
