Workers begin second phase of large housing development

Date:

The next stage of a major new housing development in Hailsham is set to launch of Pelham Place, part of the 460-home Hellingly Green consortium development being built off Amberstone Road.

This newest stage of the Bellway development will comprise a range of two, three and five-bedroom properties for private sale and a children’s play area. It follows phase one of Pelham Place, in which Bellway is building a total of 104 private homes for sale.

As well as 460 new homes, the 72-acre Hellingly Green site will also feature new play areas, shops, allotments and a new primary school.

Mark Harrop, Sales Director at Bellway Kent, said: “Pelham Place is a key part of the Hellingly Green consortium and this second phase of the development affirms our commitment to the project.

“The consortium is creating an attractive new residential neighbourhood with a wide range of high-quality homes and community facilities and we are proud to be playing our part in delivering this scheme.

“Phase two of Pelham Place will provide further opportunities for buyers in Hailsham to get onto the property ladder as well as delivering a significant proportion of affordable housing for local people and key workers.”
