World Book Day Costume competition announced

Date:

Hailsham News launched a competition on Thursday to celebrate World Book Day in the town, and the winner has been revealed.

Almost a hundred parents submitted photographs of their children’s costumes and the winner will receive a free Hailsham Card worth £10 to the photo with the most likes.

We are delighted to announce that an image posted by Kelly Widdop of her son, Fraser (below) dressed as Grandpa, the RAF Veteran from the David Walliams book, received 36 reactions, more than any other entry.

A Hailsham Card is on the way to Kelly to enjoy an array of discounts and offers in and around Hailsham.

All the entries were fantastic, so a massive well done to all the children and parents for pulling out all the stops.

Below are a selection of our favourites from the competition.
