So, now is the time to get them the recognition they deserve with the Hailsham News Most Festive House Competition 2019.
Does your neighbour pull out all the stops with their Christmas lights? Do you spend weeks planning your display and become the talk of the neighbourhood?
The winner of the first year of this competition will walk away with a £40 voucher to spend at the Royal Indian in South Road.
Residents can vote for their favourite house in the gallery of images and you can nominate your own home by uploading images for voting.
