EMERGENCY services were called to Pevensey following reports of a car crash.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) attended to the incident at the junction with Wallsend Road yesterday (March 25) at about 5pm.
It is believed people were trapped inside the car. The road was closed off for investigation.
A spokesman for Secamb said: “Ambulance crews attended the scene following reports of an RTC involving a vehicle and a bike.
“The cyclist was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to Conquest Hospital.”
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We were called on 25 March at 4.54pm to reports of a road traffic collision between two vehicles on Wartling Road, Pevensey.
“No persons were trapped, crews provided medical assistance to two people at the scene. The patients were placed into the care of the Ambulance Service.
“Crews in attendance, from Eastbourne and Pevensey, also carried out scene safety.
“The incident was handed over to Police and Ambulance.”
