THE best independent businesses in Sussex have been named in the prestigious Muddy Awards 2024.
The awards is run by Muddy Stilettos, which is an urban guide to the countryside with regular reviews on the best restaurants, walks, boutiques, hotels, day trips and events across the UK.
The awards supports independent and small, independent lifestyle businesses in the UK, and it is in their 11th year. There were 515,000 votes casted across the country.
The winners are:

- Beauty Salon / Clinic: Bespoke You, Hove
- Boutique Stay: Luxury Boltholes in West Wittering
- Café: Coco & Sage in Nutley
- Casual Dining: Boat House in Chichester
- Children’s Business: The Outdoors Project, Hove
- Destination Pub: Black Horse in Amberley
- Event Venue: Trading Boundaries in Fletching
- Family Attraction: Bodiam Boating Station in Rye
- Farm shop / Deli: Butterbox Farm in Scaynes Hill
- Fitness Instructor: 1 Force Fitness in Newhaven
- Florist: Fern Cottage Florist in Uckfield
- Hair Salon: Tracy Walker Hair Salon in Arundel
- Hotel: Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa in Climping
- Lifestyle Shop: Hunter Jones in Rye
- Local Food / Drink Producer: Knepp Wild Range Meat in Dial Post
- Restaurant: The Parsons Table in Arundel
- Wine & Beer Specialist: Sarah’s Cellar in Battle
- Women’s Fashion / Accessories: Colette in Rye
- Yoga and Pilates Studio: Old Town Yoga in Hastings
All regional winners from each category automatically qualify for the National Finals, which takes place from July 3 to July 11.
Muddy Stilettos editors will judge and select the overall winners for each category, and results will be announced on July 11.
