A sixty bedroom care home has been given outline permission for a disused site on London Road, Hailsham.
Malvern Homes has announced the sale of the site, close to Lepeland has been completed to Hamberley Care Homes.
Tim Street, director and founder of Hamberley Care Homes, said; “This prime location fulfilled all of our development criteria. It will allow us to provide a leading-edge luxury care facility, and create jobs, for the people of Hailsham and the surrounding area.
“We look forward to working in partnership with the local community in the months ahead as we move forward with plans to start construction.”
