Hailsham Teenagers raise thousands for friend with cancer

Date:

Two Teenage boys have today shaved their heads with the aim of raising vital cash for the Children with Cancer Fund in Polegate.

Ezra and Harry have raised more than two and a half thousand pounds for the charity, after their best mate Ethan was diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer early in 2018.

The boys today (Sunday) took part in the head shaving event at Ribs and Co in Hailsham and the pair are now appealing for donations so they can raise as much money as possible.

The Children with Cancer Fund (Polegate) has been supporting Ethan and his family. Its aim is to enable the children, and families of the children with cancer, to have a quality of life that we would hope to have ourselves. This is achieved by giving them treats or buying them something they have missed out on, normally due to the fact that their money has been spent fighting the illness or burning up petrol going to and from the hospital for treatment.
