UPDATE: Driver of supercar crash suffers severe burns

Hailsham News has been told the driver of the supercar that crashed in Polegate this evening (Thursday 28th May) is suffering from severe burns.

The car, which is believed to be an Aston Martin DB9 V12, would have cost more than £100,000 new. It happened on Jevington Road in Polegate this evening when the car left the road and burst into flames.

The Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance was called to the scene but the driver was taken to the Eastbourne DGH by road ambulance suffering from severe burns following the incident.

A crash investigation is now taking place by Sussex Police at the scene.
