The recycling area in North Street has been closed by officials after asbestos sheeting was discovered today (31st January).
Wealden Council has closed the area and is waiting on specialist contractor to disposal of the fly-tipped asbestos.
On its Facebook page, Wealden Council stated; “The incident is under investigation by our Street Scene Enforcement Team which will pursue offenders for prosecution as necessary.
